GROW Love!

I DON’T NEED A VALENTINE, I NEED A NAP
We don't often buy into mainstream celebrations. We also don’t encourage consumerism, and we like to feed the imagination and resist stereotypes, rather than the other way around so it would make sense that Valentine's day wouldn't be our thing.

BUT…
Whether you love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is drawing near and for us, brings renewed reflection on the theme of love. There’s no getting away from it, Grow was founded on love and it continues today because of it. Founded on the principles of love for our planet and people, it is love that motivates us to create space for arts and culture under a system which neglects it, and love that nurtures community in a society that often struggles. For Grow, love lies at the heart of it all… (though we won’t be putting that in a card, don’t worry).

CAN WE RECLAIM VALENTINES DAY?
Finding the one isn't the necessarily the ideal anymore. Connections of all kinds bring the same joys and benefits of romantic love - In fact, some connections are a lot less stressful! Regardless, human love is a special thing. So even though Valentine’s Day is a commercial invention, we will still mark the day, to celebrate and re-engage with different types of love and embrace all the opportunities for love in our lives.

FIRST UP: REBRANDING VALENTINES DAY FOR FEBRUARY 14 2024
Join us on for an inclusive celebration of love rather than an exclusive one as chamber-pop music singer-songwriter, Heren Wolf joins us - with special guests! Featuring themes of introspection, including mental health and regeneration, Heren also uses his voice to address socio-political issues such as LGBTQIA+ and migrants' rights, transfeminism and racism.

Join us for a Valentines night like no other. Head to our events calendar to register your free tickets, and reserve the best table.
