Break Even hosts a special Christmas boogie at Grow Hackney, raising funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians.
ABOUT THE EVENT & DJS
Break Even is a London-based non-profit dance event rooted in a love for great music, meaningful connection and community impact. With a focus on soulful, Afro and Latin inspired house, broken beat, amapiano and beyond, every party creates an inclusive space for dancers and music lovers to come together and support a worthy cause. Each event is designed not to profit but simply to break even.
For this festive edition, we welcome two pillars of the UK underground making their Grow debut. Alex Nut, head of the acclaimed Eglo Records and a master of soulful sounds and broken beats, brings his high-energy, genre-defying selections. Joining him is The Mighty Zaf, one of East London’s most respected vinyl collectors and selectors, known for his unrivalled knowledge of rare funk, soul, disco and house.
Setting the tone on opening duties are Meena Sears and Tane, bringing soulful, Afro and Latin-inspired house to ease the night in. Break Even residents Henry Sears, Kit and Alex Nanan will close the dance with a feel-good blend of soulful and spiritual house, disco, broken beat, reggae and rare groove.
Very limited advance tickets are available via the link in bio. Remaining tickets will be available on the door for a minimum £10 donation.
See you on the dance floor.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Why We’re Raising Money for MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians) Break Even, is proud to support MAP – a charity that’s been working with Palestinian communities for over 35 years. With everything happening in Palestine right now, we wanted to back a charity making a real, on-the-ground impact. MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in great need and humanitarian relief to those affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement in Gaza, the West Bank, and Palestinian refugee camps. Hospitals are overwhelmed. Supplies are running out. And people are in urgent need of care. MAP is one of the few trusted charities delivering life-saving help, from trauma care and surgeries to supporting frontline health workers and providing for mothers and children. Every penny we raise goes toward getting vital medicine, equipment, and support to those who need it most.
