Canalside Sessions with Williams Cumberbache is a regular weekend treat that brings world-class live music right to Hackney Wick.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Every Sunday afternoon from 1-4 pm, master conga player Williams Cumberbache, with over 30 years in the UK music scene and collaborations with legends like Goldie and Björk. Each week Williams will be joined by special guest bands bringing amazing live music to Hackney Wick every week with something different.
Ideal for families, friends, and music lovers alike and even your dog will enjoy this uplifting experience which is all about connection, relaxation, and the joy of live music—an essential part of Grow’s vibrant community.
SPECIAL GUEST - JIKAMOS & FRIENDS
Led by percussionist Williams Cumberbache, Jikamos are a London-based Afro-Latin outfit blending jazz, funk and Detroit house influences into a raw, rhythmic sound. Known for reworking club classics through a Latin lens and appearances at spots like Jazz Cafe, expect deep percussion and loose improvisation.
