Canalside Sessions with Williams Cumberbache is a regular weekend treat that brings world-class live music right to Hackney Wick.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Every Sunday afternoon from 1-4 pm, master conga player Williams Cumberbache, with over 30 years in the UK music scene and collaborations with legends like Goldie and Björk. Each week Williams will be joined by special guest bands bringing amazing live music to Hackney Wick every week with something different.
Ideal for families, friends, and music lovers alike and even your dog will enjoy this uplifting experience which is all about connection, relaxation, and the joy of live music—an essential part of Grow’s vibrant community.
SPECIAL GUEST – PHAROAH RUSSELL QUARTET
Pharoah Russell is a South London-based drummer, percussionist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose work crosses jazz, soul, ambient music, rock and electronics. Alongside his solo work, he has played with Brixton’s Ese & The Vooduu People and is part of experimental jazz and electronic trio Cymbals of Now. For Canalside Sessions, he brings his own quartet to Grow for an afternoon of live music by the water.
