We’re thrilled to welcome Batukizer to Grow for their Hackney debut. This Brazilian-Danish DJ duo are renowned for unearthing rare and powerful rhythms from deep within Brazil’s vast musical heritage.
ABOUT THE EVENT
This is only our second international Deepdig booking this year, and it’s a truly special one. Seeing Batukizer in an intimate London venue like this is a rare opportunity, far from the festival stage.
With a killer vinyl collection built from digging trips through 15 Brazilian states including the Amazon, Batukizer bring pure dancefloor heat: infectious grooves, heavy percussion, and forgotten gems you won’t find on streaming platforms. Their sets are joyous, genre-defying journeys through tropical, spiritual and regional sounds, mixed with expert touch and deep passion.
Regulars on My Analog Journal, Batukizer’s hypnotic sessions have reached global audiences, with one video surpassing 2 million views. Their mixtapes and selections have been featured on NTS, The Vinyl Factory, Le Mellotron and more, marking them as key voices in global music culture.
Fresh from playing Nyege Nyege in Uganda and Rio’s legendary Tropicals parties, Batukizer are residents on NTS and Al Hara Radio. They’ve also shared stages with icons such as Jorge Ben, Azymuth, Banda Black Rio and Grammy winners Emicida and Liniker.
Expect a unique night of vinyl-powered dancefloor magic rooted in deep Brazilian grooves.
