Girlz B Like returns to Grow for its annual end-of-year party, bringing a Glitter & Gold Ball to the dancefloor on Saturday 12 December.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Founder Marcia Carr is joined by Kinky D and special guests TBA for a night of soul, broken beat, gospel house, Afro, deep house, disco and plenty of records you won't hear everywhere else.
Marcia Carr has been DJing for over four decades and is the founder of Girlz B Like. A respected broadcaster and record collector, she's played everywhere from fabric and the Jazz Cafe to Ministry of Sound, We Out Here, Boomtown and Southport Weekender, alongside appearances on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.
Kinky D brings over 30 years of experience behind the decks, with a love of soul, funk, disco and R&B. Her career has taken her from BBC Radio 1Xtra and London's club scene to dancefloors across Australia, South Korea and the UAE. She's also performed at the Cannes and Abu Dhabi film festivals, with more than 800 hours of radio broadcasting to her name.
It's the last Girlz B Like of the year, so they're making an occasion of it. Dig out the glitter, gold, velvet or satin and come dressed for the Christmas party.
