Grow Live presents Last Nubian’s Ships of the Pharaohs headlining Friday 25th July, delivering hypnotic fusion of jazz, soul, bossa nova and house, with Haseeb Iqbal opening and closing night.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Grow Live, our in-house night bringing the best of London’s music scene, returns on Friday 25th July. We anticipate this to be one of the hottest gigs of the year and it’s absolutely unmissable. We are really excited to be welcoming Last Nubian, who’ll be headlining the evening with his live band, Ships of the Pharaohs. A rising star of the London scene, Last Nubian has released music on acclaimed labels such as Eglo Records, Blaq Numbers and Flat White Records. Expect a seamless fusion of jazz, soul, bossa nova and house, driven by Goldbar’s fluid keys, Dexter’s solid bass and Achanté’s rich vocals. Together, they move from warm, intimate grooves to dancefloor-ready rhythms that will keep you locked in. Having impressed at We Out Here Festival, Brick Lane Jazz Festival, House of KOKO and SXSW London, they are now working on their debut EP, Seasons, and are poised to deliver a show that bridges live energy and club sensibility.
We’re happy to welcome back Haseeb Iqbal after hosting his Studio Crumb party last year on the terrace for Multi Multi Festival and a previous guest for DeepDig. Haseeb will open the night with an eclectic mix of global grooves, rare vinyl finds and storytelling to set the tone, then return to close the evening, bringing everything full circle with his signature style. Tickets are limited, so book now and be part of a true London musical moment.
