Celebrate the end of summer with Conjunto Sabroso and KULA Collective, bringing live salsa, Latin rhythms, and vibrant DJ sets to Grow this September.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us on 26th September as we see out the last of the summer with a night of live music and DJs. Bringing the Latin heat, salsa veterans Conjunto Sabroso light up the stage, joined by South London’s DJ Soph (Social Records Society / Sister Midnight) and DJ Zafeer (KULA founder, Sherief El-Shazly) on the decks. Kick things off with a fun salsa class at 9pm - perfect for learning the basics and getting into the groove before the party starts.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Conjunto Sabroso is one of London’s most exciting Latin bands, renowned for their infectious rhythms and vibrant stage presence. Led by Colombian vocalist Luz Elena Caicedo and Venezuelan percussionist Wilmer Sifontes, the group blends the rich traditions of Salsa, Son, Cumbia, and more into an irresistible live experience. Since their beginnings in 1995, they’ve built a reputation as the UK’s go-to Salsa band, performing across the world and sharing stages with some of Latin music’s greatest icons.
Soph (Sophie Farrell) is a London-based DJ and founder of the vinyl collective Social Records Society. Known for her eclectic, high-energy sets, she blends global grooves, house, disco, and beyond to keep dancefloors moving. As co-captain of the grassroots venue Sister Midnight, she’s as passionate about building community as she is about music, championing creativity and connection through every project. From underground clubs to major festivals, DJ Soph brings warmth, energy, and deep musical knowledge to every stage.
DJ Zafeer (Sherief El-Shazly) is a London-based DJ and founder of KULA Collective. His sets weave music across borders and times. Starting KULA as an opportunity to shine light of different artforms and musical heritage, these events have always been rooted in building a strong sense of community to different London spaces.
