ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Los Bravos de la K’umbia (Live)
Directed and led by Wilfredo Avalos, Los Bravos de la K’umbia was formed a few years ago in London by a group of friends who share their Peruvian heritage and deep love for Cumbia. Their captivating sounds will take you on a musical journey—from the heart of the Amazon Forest to the coastal city of Lima and the peaks of the Andes.
Paskal Rough & Tough (Cool Breeze)
A music enthusiast and record collector with a passion for vintage sounds from the 60s and 70s across Jamaica, the Caribbean, and Latin America, Paskal curates Cool Breeze—a music night dedicated to exploring the vintage sounds of the American tropics. Travel through the Peruvian Andes, the Colombian coasts, and beyond, soaking in the pungent lyrics of Panamanian calypsonians, the African-inspired drums of the French Antilles, the low frequencies of Jamaican bass lines, and the hypnotic melodies of Mexican accordions.
Ritmo del Barrio
An independent record label based in London, UK, Ritmo del Barrio has been dedicated to exploring vintage Latin American music, with a special focus on Peruvian Cumbia (Chicha). Founded in 2021, RDB reissues feature legendary Peruvian artists such as Cuarteto Universal, Los Shapis, Julio Mau y Los Imbatibles, and Los Dexters de Uchiza, working in collaboration with historical Peruvian labels including Discos Horóscopo, Music Shop Peru, and SonoRadio.
