Grow Celebrates 9 Years with 2 Huge Days of Entertainment

We celebrate 9 years on July 14 & 15 with 2 days of some of our favourite artists and collaborators taking over the venue with support from our house lager providers, Korev by St Austell Brewery

WHAT A YEAR!

We’ve managed to bring through an ever expanding selection of world-beating musicians, bands and DJs through our doors week in, week out. We’ve continued to invest in grassroots events and creative communities, and stayed committed to our affordable bar and door prices in spite of the constantly morphing environment.

FRIDAY 14 JULY 2023 - PART 1

Part 1 features dear friends of the venue, Heliocentric’s lead singer, B’licious & electronic music producer El Prevost, as they team up for a live dance music set!

The inimitable experimental psychoactive jam band, Fear of Fluffing and Butoh dancer Mai Nguyen Tri play a set of live, loose and improvised music.

SATURDAY 15 JULY 2023 - PART 2

Part 2 features our resident conguero Williams Cumberbache and his Latin Orchestra project. Williams is a drummer that has recorded for the likes of The Clash, Goldie and Bjork during his 20+ years living in London. He will play a special set of written music that has not been performed in years, with an 8 piece brand featuring a full brass section.

We’re also excited to announce the ‘Queen of Grow’, a bonafide club legend with more than 3 decades of experience behind the decks, a master of navigating through all things Jazz, Latin, Funk, Disco, Gospel, Broken Beat, House & more, aka Marcia Carr, will provide the closing 2 hours for us!

Ahead of his upcoming headline show at Earth Hackney, live looper Michael Sebastian will play an improvised set on our pontoon during the afternoon.

Grow favourite, Dom Benjamin provides the vibes with an extended canalside set of neo soul, hip hop & dancefloor classics to watch the sun go down.

MORE TBA for both days

This event is helped made possible by our partners Korev – St Austell Brewery’s flagship lager. There will be giveaways on the day courtesy of them!

Born in Cornwall, Korev is pale gold like the morning sun, fresh and crisp like a sea breeze, and as invigorating as the waves crashing against our shores. Head to the Korev bar and experience the coast in a glass. Drink it all in.
