Celebrating International Women’s Day at Grow

We celebrate IWD with a trio of events featuring trailblazing female collectives and individuals that have been part of London’s music and club culture for more than 3 decades

We’ve been lucky enough to confirm 3 incredible events for IWD! From a dance hosted by one of London’s only female reggae soundsystems, to an all vinyl night led by radio presenter and DJ Marcia Carr and a party hosted by the all womxn collective WXMB 2!

Girlz B Like, an all female all vinyl night run by Marcia Carr, a bonafide club veteran that has more than 3 decades of experience DJing comes to Grow on March 5.

Marcia’s mixes have graced BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM, with appearances at Lovebox festival and Cross the Tracks plus many more over the years!

All female collective, WXMB 2 bring the freshest sounds along with a huge lineup of DJs on March 11.

Founded by Petra Kluk and Lucid Standard, WXMB 2 is a community of womxn working against inequality within the music industry, and helping to mentor the next generation of talent. They return to Grow after a scorching summer set with a night of fresh talent and ripe tunes for a night of disco, funk, bailefunk, bass, afrohouse and reggaeton!

One of London’s only female run soundsystems, Seduction City Sound, bring their system to Grow on March 12.

An all day/night dance at our canalside venue with an all female line up curated by Seduction City founder Marilyn Dennis, aka Lady Banton, a selector with over 34 years experience, that has DJed at Notting Hill Carnival since 1996.
