Grow is turning 11 and you’re invited to help us celebrate the only way we know how: with 14 hours of incredible music, good company and community spirit right on the canal.
ABOUT THE EVENT
This space was built on independent culture, connection and creativity. Over the past decade, we have grown together, danced together and stood together through the highs and lows. For our 11th birthday, we are bringing back some of our favourite artists and extended family for a one-day celebration of everything Grow stands for.
Expect a genre-spanning journey of live music, DJ sets and spontaneous moments, from Brazilian Tropicália to deep house, soul, jazz, funk, boogie and global grooves.
Beloved George brings their vibrant and infectious take on Brazilian music to the stage, reimagining classics and sharing original tunes that blend Coco, Samba, Forró and Bossa Nova with modern-day fire. With members from Brazil, Angola, Portugal and the UK, they are a truly international celebration of rhythm and joy.
Marcia Carr, a pioneer of the UK underground and a long-time Grow collaborator and resident, takes us on a deep and soulful ride through house, broken beat, gospel and jazz. With over four decades behind the decks, she brings unmatched energy and knowledge. Every set is a journey through sound and time.
CSGRV, Grow’s man behind the music and curator of our DeepDig series and Grow Live, blends music from around the globe, samba funk, MPB, jazz, Latin, deep house and more, serving up eclectic sets full of hidden gems and infectious grooves.
Petra’s Dream, the DJ trio made up of Lukas Kuhn, Kid Dynamite and Bruno Spadale, return to their spiritual home. They will be digging deep for Italo-electro, Afro synth, Brazilian fusion, bubblegum, boogie and NY garage, expertly woven together with love, instinct and dancefloor focus.
And Williams Cumberbache, our master percussionist who has worked with legends like Björk and Goldie, brings decades of experience and fiery rhythms to the celebration. Expect Afro-Latin grooves, jazz fusion and spontaneous percussion magic that moves both body and soul.
We’ll also be joined by Grow’s friends and family behind the decks to keep the vibe throughout the day.
Suppliers Fair
As well as 14 hours of music throughout the day, we’re also hosting a special Suppliers Fair where you can meet our co-founder Jordanna Greaves. She’ll be sharing the story behind Grow and introducing some of the brilliant local producers we work with, like Hearth Bakery, Growing Communities Veg Box Scheme, Herbal Hackney and That Green Life.
Jordanna will be joined by some of our supplier partners, who’ll be serving up tasters and good vibes:
• Femi from Mother and Sun’s Kombucha
• Vita from Square Mile Coffee
• James from InTune CBD Drinks
Come by, say hello to the team and our amazing suppliers, try something new and find out what makes Grow so special.
