Grow x EFG London Jazz Festival 2025
Join us canalside to celebrate the wide spectrum of jazz in all its forms
This November, Grow is proud to once again be part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, one of the most exciting celebrations of jazz and live music in the city. Across five days, our canalside venue in Hackney Wick will be alive with an eclectic programme that reflects the energy and diversity of the scene from intimate sessions and late-night jams to dancefloor parties and deep listening experiences.
Here’s what we have in store:
Wednesday 19th – Live From The Front Room: Con + No Trixx
We open our festival series with the second edition of Live From The Front Room, known for bringing intimacy and connection to every performance. Rising star Con leads the night with soulful jazz-funk energy, joined by fusion band No Trixx, whose sound spans soul, rock, Latin and drum & bass. Expect boundary-free grooves and honest storytelling in a setting designed to bring artists and audiences closer together.
Thursday 20th – Jazz Jam with Stratos
Grow’s legendary weekly Jazz Jam steps into the festival spotlight. Since 2016, Stratos, led by Mercury Prize-nominated bassist Rio Kai, has been at the heart of our Thursday nights. With Dom Pusey (sax), Mike De Souza (guitar) and Zoe Pascal (drums), the band creates a space where classic jazz roots meet experimental edges. They’ll be inviting a special guest to join them for the evening, to be announced soon. The first set showcases Stratos’ signature sound before the floor opens up to jammers, a true celebration of improvisation and connection.
Friday 21st – Magro + Sedric Perry + Footshooter
Berlin drummer and producer Magro returns to London for a high-energy night that fuses jazz, R&B and future beats. He’s joined by powerhouse vocalist Sedric Perry, whose velvet vocals and electrifying stage presence bring irresistible charisma. South London’s Footshooter keeps the dancefloor alive until 2am with broken beat, house and soulful club cuts. This one’s for the dancers and the late-night music lovers.
Saturday 22nd – Love is Everywhere with Tina Edwards + Charlie Dark
The seventh edition of Tina Edwards’ celebrated jazz dancefloor party arrives at Grow. Paying homage to classic jazz-dance culture while pushing it forward, the night features DJ sets from Tina Edwards and Charlie Dark, plus a live performance by The Foot Notes. Arrive early for a free UK jazz dance class with Masumi Endo (7–8pm), whether you’re a beginner or brushing up your moves. Expect global grooves, Latin, jazz house and broken beat, all celebrating the joy of movement and connection.
Sunday 23rd – Canalside Sessions with Williams Cumberbache & Guests (1pm - 4pm)
Closing out the festival weekend, Williams Cumberbache brings his weekly Canalside Sessions to the pontoon stage. A master conga player with over 30 years in the UK scene, Williams curates a free afternoon of Afro-Latin, Brazilian and jazz fusion, joined by a rotating cast of London’s finest musicians, guests to be announced soon. Relax with food and drinks in our garden terrace as boats float down the River Lea, a uniquely Hackney Wick way to round off the week.
Sunday 23rd – From The Crates: jamie.stew (6:30pm - 10:30pm)
As the week winds down, our From The Crates series offers a chance to slow the pace and listen deeply. jamie.stew takes us on a journey through syncopated and diverse grooves from jazz-infused house and broken beat to soul and hip hop — exploring how genres cross-pollinate and rhythms intertwine. This intimate canalside session is about discovery, atmosphere and storytelling through sound.
A Celebration of Sound, Rhythm & Community
From soulful intimacy to high-energy dancefloors, our EFG Jazz Festival programme is about more than just music — it’s about connection. Whether you’re a jazz devotee, a dancer, or simply looking for something new, join us canalside to celebrate the spirit of live music in all its forms.
