Afro-Cuban rhythm meets live electronica at a jam like no other - Ariwo & Friends
A quartet led by Iranian electronic composer Pouya Ehsaei, that are renowned for sculpting an immersive sound world using a base of Afro-Cuban polyrhythms, carnival melodies, cosmic jazz and live electronics.
Every month since July 2021, they host a jam like no other at Grow where they invite their various talented musician friends from the London live music scene to join them on stage and work out new material for 2 sets of improvised music.
50 Years - 3 Pioneers
On Tuesday 19 April, Inclusive Irons, Love Football Hate Racism, WHUST and the authors of Football’s Black Pioneers will be celebrating the match of Easter Saturday 1972 with a mixture of live music and interviews with former players.
MAHARLIKA: a new UK Filipino Artists Platform
Grow is excited to host MAHARLIKA as they explore a series presentations on Filipino film, art, and culture at Grow on Monday 28th February. There is no live audience but you can watch the livestream online.
Celebrating International Women’s Day at Grow
We celebrate IWD with a trio of events featuring trailblazing female collectives and individuals that have been part of London’s music and club culture for more than 3 decades
Creative Workshops & Communal Meals!
Over 2022, we’re hosting community events throughout the year, including 10 workshops for Hackney residents to join makers, producers, musicians, artists and activists and participant in an introductory creative activity and enjoy a communal meal together.

we're hosting Grow Change, our annual event celebrating community, skill sharing and connecting. Our vision for this online series is to (re)connect our communities who previously might have to come to Grow to meet friends and/or new people to share & learn in a relaxed way.
Artist Gina Southgate begins our residency of artists to sketch our live Jazz nights at Grow Hackney
Gina Southgate who has sketched and painted musicians for 30 years. She will be setting up her easel whilst house band Stratos, led by Mercury Prize nominee Rio Kai play their acclaimed sets on our canalside terrace.
