Into The Wild’s Summer Solstice

Grow has been partnering with the Chisenhale Studios ‘Into the Wild’ programme since 2017. This unique, free course supports and challenges artists in the early stages of their career by offering opportunities for creative development and by providing practical advice on how to survive and thrive in the world beyond art school.  Grow works the Chisenhale Studios team and the cohort of artists to provide mentoring and hosts an annual event where the students experiment and showcase their work in unusual spaces.

This year, to celebrate the longest evening and the shortest night , the 2022 cohort hosted ‘WILD SOLSTICE’ where they presenting installations, performances, prints, zines, workshops, drinking, dancing and conversations.

Sophie Artist Development Coordinator & Facilitator for Into The Wild said:

The Into The Wild participants really loved setting up their work and experimenting with workshops at Grow, it was the perfect place to spend the solstice and gave them a great opportunity to draw their work together alongside one another, and the canal!
