Saachi Launches the DeepDig Series in Style

A night curated by Grow, that brings some of our favourite DJs to play the extended sets that they don’t usually get to play at bigger venues and festivals officially launched on August 12 with Saachi, a DJ whose B2B Boiler Room set for Yung Singh was selected as one of the best mixes of the year by Mixmag in 2022!

DeepDig was created to give music fans experiences that aren’t so easy to come by in London venues these days. The concept is simple:

  • Lengthy, no holds barred DJ set in unique, intimate settings

  • Established, world beating DJs with deep music tastes, where they have free reign to take the crowd in whatever direction they like.

  • Affordable ticket prices.

Saachi’s set with Rohan Rakhit for Boiler Room captivated the world when it was released, hence the nomination for Mixmag’s set of the year and after she jumped on an impromptu set at Grow in January for Vandelay Radio’s takeover, we knew that she would be a perfect guest to officially launch this series.

We’ve done a few pilots for this concept before with DJ Amir, K15, Laani, My Analog Journal & Thristian. They were all went so well that we decided to give it a name and make it official!

Saachi has played for Boiler Room multiple times, Lost Village festival, Gala and Dialled In Festival. Saachi is also a resident DJ at Girls Need Music and Selextorhood which works to raise the profile of women in music.

Her sets are usually a focused blend of house, breaks, UKG, bass line, electro but we heard all sorts of sounds over the 4 hours, from dub to South Asian sounds to Jungle & Breaks.

Watch back the preview for the event where we sat down with Saachi to go through some tracks in her record collection that we may not expect to hear from her and watch a half hour excerpt from her set on the night to get a taster of what went down on the night!

Light installation is by Parker Heyl

DeepDig will be back very soon with another incredible DJ TBA 👀
